Llian smiled proudly. "Good, I love being unique." It wasn't something he tried to do, and he didn't not follow trends just to be different. He had just always naturally preferred to do his own thing. It was something his parents had encouraged throughout the years, and he just liked and accepted his own natural opinions on things. She had moved a lot of stuff to the dressing room, or so it seemed, by the time she came over to tell him that she'd finished. He had also finished picking out the jewelry, the shoes and the dress. "And I have your look right here," he said, carrying them over to an empty fitting room for her and putting them down. "Shall we?" With that, he headed to his own dressing room, locking the door behind him and coming face to face with his outfit for the first time, nearly bursting out laughing. The red suit and black shirt... damn. Maybe he'd made a mistake in showing her the dress so soon and giving her time to exact her revenge. It would be really fun though. So he changed, putting on all pieces of the ensemble. She had managed to guess pretty well on all his sizes, so the suit fit adequately, although the pants were a tad bit tight, and the jacket a bit loose. Oh well. "I have to say, I love my outfit," he said, knowing she could hear him from the next stall over. Maybe he would never be caught dead wearing it in real life, but it was really fun for their dress up purposes. "You ready?" |

Juls followed Llian into the other empty dressing room, inspecting the other things he had chosen for her to wear with a grin on her face. As soon as he was done setting all the things down, and left the room, Juls shut the door and started stripping. There didn't seem to be too much in terms of complicated items? But she never knew. Her bra, luckily, she could take the straps off, and she basically had to shimmy into the dress he'd chosen, his laughter carrying over to her. She just smiled to herself, and kept trying to put it on. It wasn't that it was the wrong size - actually, he'd picked out the right one, surprisingly enough - but the dress was meant to be... Well, she couldn't bend over, that was for sure. She put the jewelry on first, and then looked into the mirror, turning this way and that to make sure everything was in order. Because the outfit was so wild and different, she pulled her hair out of it's braid so she could have her curls to go with it, mussing it up a little bit, and then attempted to crunch to strap those heels he picked out. She managed one with a little huffing and puffing, but the other one was with her non-dominant hand and she was having a little trouble. So when Llian if she was ready? She just leaned back against the wall (somehow, she'd ended up on the floor), and laughed. "Can you help me for a second?" Okay, so it totally ruined the whole strut-out-of-the-dressing-room thing she had been hoping for but...it was better than coming out and breaking her ankle over the damn shoe. |

Llian heard Juls call for him to help her out, so he exited the dressing room, paying no heed to the shopkeeper's exasperated glance and the strange looks he was getting from the other customers now in the store. Eh, he figured it was free advertising. Who would buy that red suit without seeing that someone else might actually put it on first? He turned the knob of the dressing room and found Juls sitting on the floor, wearing the dress -- which fit quite nicely, if he did say so himself -- and with her hair down, but she seemed to be having trouble with the shoes. Despite the fact that she was sitting, and he didn't have the best view that way, he still could see that he'd made a good selection. "You look... great," he said, having to search for a moment for the right word. Smiling, he added, shaking his head to make himself focus again, "So you still need help with the shoes?" |

Juls started to look up, smiling sheepishly at him, but when she saw that he had everything on, she burst out laughing. It had looked impressive on the stands, she hadn't even been able to properly imagine it on him. She reached up and grabbed his hand, and used it to hoist herself up onto her feet with those heels, and after adjusting for a moment she pointed down and said, "I can't bend that direction in this dress to buckle that. I tried...." He said she looked great though, and she couldn't help but smile, shrugging as she mentioned, "So much for a great presentation. But hell...you look pretty awesome too. I don't think many people can pull off a red...suit..." She couldn't help it; just the idea made the giggles come back, and she reached up to touch the tie for a second, shaking her head. "So if you could help me with that shoe just for the principle, I can spin for you. Did the lady look properly annoyed?" |

Llian could honestly understand why she was laughing at him. He would be the first to admit that he looked absolutely ridiculous in the clothing that she had picked out for him. What could he have expected with the red suit and shoes? He was also laughing. He took her hand and helped her to her feet, looking at her leg---the unbuckled shoe. "Well, hey: 'if at first you don't succeed, try, try again,'" he quipped. "You know, either that or call someone over to help you." So much for a great presentation? Llian raised an eyebrow. "Looks pretty great from where I'm standing." He just laughed when she told him that he looked awesome. "Please. I look ridiculous. Amazingly so, but ridiculous nonetheless. I don't think I'm one of those people that can pull off the red suit," he commented, laughing with her. "The lady was definitely properly annoyed." Actually, he was expecting to be kicked out of the store at any minute. But he was distracted from all of those thoughts when she asked him to help her with the shoe. "No problem," he said, kneeling down to buckle it. Of course, kneeling down had him looking directly at her leg... and trying very, very hard to resist the urge to look up. That would be bad. That would be very bad. Don't. He focused instead on buckling the shoe, ignoring the way the heel put her leg at an angle that emphasized the shapely calf muscle. Look. He was making every effort to keep his gaze focused on the shoe and nothing else, distracting himself with wondering how women walked in these types of shoes every day. Up. Why the hell had he picked this outfit? He had never thought he was a masochist before. Look but don't touch: a policy he never liked following. |

"Oh I tried again. And again...and again and again..." Juls' voice trailed off and she shrugged. She was flexible but she wasn't double jointed, and with the dress fitting like a less bendable second skin, she just couldn't manage it. He continued to compliment her on how she looked, and she shifted a little, not exactly uncomfortable, but she wasn't used to it. It was actually...really nice, but her smile had shied a little. "Okay, maybe the suit looks ridiculous. But if you take off the jacket, and go get some black...maybe pinstriped pants, and regular shoes..." She grinned, "I think you can pull off the look." Hearing that the shopkeeper was annoyed brought the bright smile back on her face and she laughed, "Well isn't that what we were trying to accomplish? Score!" Of course, a moment later he had knelt down to help her buckle her shoe, and by the time that he'd stood back up, she was blushing lightly. Still, she lifted up on her toes a little so the actual heel wouldn't catch on the ground, and spun for him. "You actually did a pretty good job." She teased, "I almost like it. You know, minus the fact I can't put on my own shoes." |

Llian grinned. "And that's why I'm here to help you in the end," he said. He noticed her semi-uncomfortable reaction to the compliments, and he wondered if he had overdone it. He probably had, considering she was blushing by the time he had finished helping her with her shoes. At least he hadn't looked up. When he stood, he was standing directly in front of her, nearly too close. Well, he didn't find it too close. But she was blushing and his thoughts were starting to wander down a particular path that he probably shouldn't have been thinking about. He looked down at the suit. "What, you mean I can't pull it off like this?" he asked, an easy grin coming to his lips. "But yeah, at least we're doing our job." There was no part of him interested in looking at the shopkeeper anymore though. Not with her in that dress. "I think I did a pretty good job to," he replied to her next comment. "I have to say: I like it a lot. And as for the shoes? Well, I can definitely help you get things off." Shoes. Get the shoes off. Oops. Oh well. |

"You're the one who said you didn't think you were one of the people who could pull off something like that." Juls pointed out, shaking her head amusedly at him. "Personally, once I get past the fact that you're wearing bright red, I think you look pretty good." He did. She usually disliked seeing men in suits and fancy robes and all that just because it meant they were more prospectives she needed to impress or please, and quite bluntly, she hated having to 'try'. But the worst part was? She hadn't even realized that she did until she realized how easy it was to just...talk to someone. Crazy, right? "Thank you." She told him, once he had stood back up. She was actually kind of enjoying his...'subtle' appreciation, despite the dress being a little tighter, a little smaller, and a little more out there and wild than she was used to. It was amusing to think of annoying the shopkeeper as a job, but she was definitely happy with their joint success. Not so much on the fact that they were bothering another human being... At his last comment though? Juls quieted for a moment, watching him before she just easily answered, "That would be awesome." The bright smile found her lips once again. |

Llian just gave her a shrug and a sheepish grin. He had said that, hadn't he? But people said so many things all the time; how was he supposed to keep track of it all? He did note the fact that she said he looked good, and he just grinned in response. "Thanks. I had a good stylist." Llian hadn't even been sure what he meant about the 'helping her get things off' comment. Actually, he was sure what he meant, and absolutely none of it was appropriate for standing in a dressing room. There was a large smile on Juls' face, too, and he honestly wondered if she really got what he was implying and agreeing or just teasing him... Either way, it was driving him nuts, and his mind was already taking that one little comment of his and running with it despite the fact that they were in a public place, a dressing room of a designer boutique, for Merlin's sake. Still, his feet seemed to carry him a step forward and then another until he was right in front of Juls. He didn't touch her, although he was close enough that he easily could have if he wanted. But he didn't know how she would react, and this was the best he could do as far as keeping himself under control went. "Juls, I really, really like you." Blurted out before he could stop it. |

Juls' smile just widened when Llian told her that he had a good stylist, because honestly she had been choosing that outfit to make him just as out there and wild as she had. To draw more attention, really. She thought that if they'd gone out in those outfits, her goal would have been succeeded. She hadn't been lying though; as much as a bright, bright red wasn't exactly his color with his blue eyes and dark hair, she really wasn't sure if she could put anything on him and he wouldn't still look cute. Though they were already relatively close, Llian had moved forward again, and she tilted her head slightly. He seemed to be thinking about something pretty intently, and she didn't say anything so that she wouldn't interrupt whatever thought process he was going through, but she was pretty curious. Soon enough she got her answer, and Juls laughed a little bit, quietly. Not mocking him, just in a surprised, amused way. "Oh. Well I think that's obvious considering..." Considering their older selves, really, but in terms of them, and just having met, Juls considered that for a moment. "I...really like you too." She told him, "I think it's really cool that we are compatible even if we met at this age too." Well why wouldn't she? He was open, and fun, and cute, and had been really understanding and patient with her, and he'd just worn a siren red suit for her. Seriously. |

Llian nodded, half-hearing what she was saying to him. The other half of his brain was more invested in something entirely different. "Yeah, I guess that is sort of obvious," he laughed. Well, if they were dating and having a baby, it was a safe bet that they would like each other. But Juls phrased it well when she spoke next, and he nodded in agreement. "I think it's great. I mean, I think that people really have like one... core personality, even if they change a bit with life experience. And if you get along that well naturally at any age, I think it's a sign that your true personalities really do fit." He paused. "If that makes... any sense... at all..." Probably not. But Llian wasn't thinking about what made sense or what didn't. Because right then only few things instinctively made sense to him: he liked Juls, and she liked him; they were standing mere inches apart in a dressing room; and he wanted to kiss her. So, leaning in just seconds later, that was exactly what he did. |

Juls smiled as Llian laughed at the fact she pointed out, and then tilted her head to listen as he added, the smile brightening her face again when he suggested that what he said made no sense. "I get it." She told him. She didn't need to reword it or otherwise to let him know that though; as she thought he phrased it well enough. Still the idea was foreign, as no one could actually go back in time and put their younger selves together to see if they were truly compatible. This situation was just incredibly weird, and she was just going with the flow. She was actually liking it better than where she came from, but she was worried if they stayed then their future would be all messed up, and that was the last thing she wanted. Short-term gain with a long-term loss? No thank you. But Juls' thoughts were scattered a moment later as she felt Llian's lips touch her own, and for a moment, she was struck with intense anxiety. Her body seemed to know what it was doing, however; she kissed him back, stepping a little closer to shyly reach up and hold onto the lapels of his jacket. The nerves left, and Juls was struck with one thought; she'd done so before. The question was with who, when, where, and they were not about to be answered, so Juls simply focused on the then and now. Which happened to be very, very nice. |

When he leaned in, Llian hadn't been thinking about how Juls was going to react. But the second his lips met hers, a small part of his brain started wondering if he should have done that and how she was going to take it. To his immense relief, she didn't pull away. In fact, she kissed him back, bringing her hands up to his shirt, pulling him in. Llian didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her waist, holding her close to him. At sixteen, Llian was not exactly a stranger to relationships. Or... perhaps relationships wasn't the word. 'Romantic encounters' might fit better... if he and Andy could really be called 'romantic'. Basically he had a bit of experience before. Enough to know what he liked and didn't like, and Juls was...definitely really compatible with him in all manners so far. Not that he was really thinking clearly about any of this. He was just focused on kissing her... until he finally pulled away, looking at her questioningly to make sure everything was ok. She had kissed him back, so he figured it was. "So yeah. It's...nice to know we can work at this age too." He grinned. |

It was different, having the feel of someone's arms around her, but she decided she liked it. He was warm, and since her arms were pressed between them, she adjusted, sliding them around his neck instead. It was just natural, instinctual movement; she didn't remember if she knew what she was doing or not. The heels put her at just the right height, but the rim of his hat was in her way, so she reached up and slid it off, holding it behind his back as she leaned in to continue kissing him. She actually really was enjoying the feel of being surrounded by him, so when he pulled back, she was actually a little disappointed. Just a little bit, and at his look at her, she just smiled. Of course, he wasn't actually too worried about it, given his next comment, and she laughed. "Oh okay. If that's what it was. Just making sure, right?" He was right though. It was good to know. People grew and changed all the time, but the fact that they worked as both adults and teenagers was comforting, just knowing that they'd found someone who was right for them. |

When they pulled back, and she smiled at him, he was definitely relieved. "Yep. Just making sure," he joked with a grin. Of course, that really wasn't it was about. He just liked her, regardless of the fact that his future self was dating her. He really didn't think it mattered. "Can I just double check that?" he added. As he leaned in again, there was a sharp rap on the door, and he groaned. It was the shopkeeper. After getting lectured briefly on indecency and the fact that they had to take off the clothes and leave if they weren't planning on buying anything, Llian and Juls changed and left the shop. It didn't really deter them from their day, though, and they just headed across the street for a quick bite to eat before exploring Italy for the day. |
